Keith Urban tour plots Escape across the U.S.
Country crooner Keith Urban has finally announced his summer touring plans for North America, beginning with a U.S. itinerary. The Escape Together World Tour will kick off with a May 7-8 stand at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, and will wrap August 27 at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, NC.
The coast-to-coast circuit will hit 30 U.S. cities over the course of the summer. Highlights include a June 13 show at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, a July 9 performance at Qwest Center in Omaha, NE, a July 31 concert at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, MA, and an August 18 event at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.
About 20 additional dates are expected to be announced for the rest of North America. The tour’s first public onsales will launch February 10, with select presales also opening this week.
The musician previously confirmed the Escape Together lineup, with Sugarland, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean and the Zac Brown Band appearing on select dates throughout the tour. Taylor Swift will also appear during breaks from her first headlining tour, which is scheduled for an extensive six-month romp across the country beginning this summer.
Urban will be touring behind the March 31 release of his most recent studio effort, “Defying Gravity.” It will be the fifth studio record from the musician and a follow-up to his 2006 hit album “Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing,” which topped the country music charts and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
